Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Evansville.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Evansville Social Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

Title or Location: Downtown Evansville Indiana
I was out for a drive around Downtown Evansville to capture some images of the fog! This Santa passed by me on his bike and smiled, he put a smile on my face so I knew I needed to get a photo of him to put a smile on someone else's face! Merry Christmas!

We hiked between M?rren and Gimmelwald. It turned out to be a fantastic day but the hike was (at times) very steep. Totally worth the effort for the beauty we encountered.

My stepson is in baseball and loves sunflower seeds. I saw a photo on Pinterest and wanted to recreate and Jacob was all for it as long as we got to practice afterward. It took a few tries, but succeeded and got this!

Title or Location: This Still Life Photograph of "Grapes, Strawberry's and Wine" was taken in my bedroom in Orange County California.
This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.

Early morning drive to moonscape was worth it when I was able to capture first morning rays on the canyon walls.

Title or Location: London Eye England
I took this picture as a quiet metaphor for life. The wheel rpresents the circle of life: rising, reaching its height, and slowly descending. The sunset suggests the end of the journey, not with fear, but with beauty and dignity. The reflection in the river is like old memoriessoft, blurred, but still alive. In that moment, I felt I was not photographing London, but time itself: life moving in a circle, the day coming to an end, and the past glowing gently in the water.

Franklin, Wiggles (sister) and I all live in Albuquerque, NM. Franklin is a rescue that found me after I lost my Mini Dachshund, girl, Casey. He is a sweet, affectionate, gentle little spirit that came from an abusive environment but now lives peacefully, acting as a model, in my little home studio. The photo was shot with a Lumix 5sii, 50mm, f9, iso 100, 1/60 shutter speed and a 2-flash set up.
